§2402.  License required

A.  No person shall practice, or in any way hold himself out, or designate himself, as a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant unless duly licensed by the board in accordance with this Chapter.  

B.  A person who is employed as a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant by the United States government, or any department, agency, or bureau thereof, shall not be required to obtain a license under the provisions of this Chapter.  If such person, while federally employed as a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant, shall engage in the practice of physical therapy outside the course and scope of such federal employment, he shall then be required to obtain a license in accordance with this Chapter.
