§2232.  Penalty for violations; civil liability

In addition to the penalties and provisions hereinbefore provided for in this Part, whoever violates any provisions set forth in this Part or any rule or regulation duly promulgated by the Louisiana Livestock Sanitary Board, or interferes with any authorized agent of the Louisiana Livestock Sanitary Board while in the performance of his official duties, shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than one thousand dollars, or in default thereof, shall be imprisoned for not less than thirty days nor more than one year, or both, and shall also be liable to any person injured for all damages resulting from the violations.
