§2187.  Penalty for violations; civil liability

In addition to the penalties and provisions hereinbefore provided for in this Part, whoever violates any provisions set forth in this Part, or any rule or regulation duly established by the Louisiana State Livestock Sanitary Board, or any officer or inspector who fails to comply with any provision of this Part, shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or in default thereof shall be imprisoned for not less than ten nor more than thirty days, or both, and shall also be liable to any person injured for all damages resulting from the violations.
