61.912 Power of arrest. Any duly commissioned special law enforcement officer shall, while performing law enforcement duties upon the public property he or she is hired to protect, be empowered to arrest: (1) Persons committing, in his or her presence and upon the public property he or she is hired to protect, any misdemeanor, any traffic violation, or any other violation as defined by KRS 500.080; (2) Provided there exists probable cause to believe a felony has been committed upon the premises he or she is hired to protect, any person whom the officer reasonably and actually believes to have committed such felony upon the public property.
