367.3629 Consumer privacy fund. (Effective January 1, 2026).

367.3629 Consumer privacy fund. (Effective January 1, 2026) There is hereby created a trust and agency account to be known as the consumer privacy fund. The fund shall be administered by the Office of the Attorney General. All civil penalties collected pursuant to KRS 367.3611 to 367.3629 shall be deposited into the fund. Interest earned on moneys in the fund shall accrue to the fund. Moneys in the fund shall be used by the Office of the Attorney General to enforce KRS 367.3611 to 367.3629. Notwithstanding KRS 45.229, any moneys remaining in the fund at the close of the fiscal year shall not lapse but shall be carried forward into the succeeding fiscal year to be used by the Office of the Attorney General for the purposes set forth in KRS 367.3611 to 367.3629.
