189.960 Right-of-way to public safety vehicle or to pedestrian or worker engaged in work on highway -- Operator of vehicle to stay in designated lane in highway work zone.

189.960 Right-of-way to public safety vehicle or to pedestrian or worker engaged in work on highway -- Operator of vehicle to stay in designated lane in highway work zone. (1) (2) (3) The operator of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to any public safety vehicle, as defined in KRS 189.910, or any pedestrian or worker, including utility worker, actually engaged in work in a highway work zone as defined in KRS 189.010. The operator of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to any public safety vehicle obviously and actually engaged in work upon a highway whenever such vehicle displays flashing lights meeting the requirements of KRS 189.920(4). The operator of a vehicle shall stay in a designated lane reserved for traffic in a highway work zone. Effective: July 15, 2024 History: Amended 2024 Ky.
