186.078 Local government ordinance on operation of street-legal special purpose vehicles permitted. (1) (2) The legislative body of a local government may, by ordinance, allow the operation of street-legal special purpose vehicles, as defined in KRS 186.077, on highways within the local government's jurisdictional boundaries. A local government may adopt more stringent local ordinances governing streetlegal special purpose vehicle safety equipment and operation than specified in KRS 186.077. Effective: June 27, 2025 History: Created 2025 Ky. Acts ch. 89, sec. 2, effective June 27, 2025.
