243.520 Institution of revocation proceedings -- Notice -- Hearing -Suspension under emergency order. The department may, on its own initiative or on the complaint of any person, institute administrative proceedings before the board to revoke or suspend any license. A license may be revoked or suspended only after the licensee has been afforded the opportunity for a hearing conducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B. The department may issue an emergency order pursuant to KRS 13B.125 to summarily suspend a license upon finding that continued operation of the license holder pending a hearing would constitute a threat to the public health, safety, or welfare. Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
