205.525 Application by cabinet for waiver, waiver amendment, or request for plan amendment -- Cabinet to provide updates upon request.

205.525 Application by cabinet for waiver, waiver amendment, or request for plan amendment -- Cabinet to provide updates upon request. (1) (2) (3) Concurrent with submitting an application for a waiver or waiver amendment or a request for a plan amendment to any federal agency that approves waivers, waiver amendments, and plan amendments, the cabinet shall provide to the Interim Joint Committee on Health, Welfare, and Family Services, and to the Interim Joint Committee on Appropriations and Revenue a copy, summary, and statement of benefits of the application for a waiver or waiver amendment or request for a plan amendment. The cabinet shall provide an update on the status of the application for a waiver or waiver amendment or request for a plan amendment to the Legislative Research Commission upon request. If the cabinet is expressly directed by the General Assembly to submit an application for a waiver or waiver amendment or a request for a plan amendment to any federal agency that approves waivers, waiver amendments, or plan amendments for public assistance programs administered under this chapter and that application or request is denied by the federal agency, the cabinet shall notify the Legislative Research Commission of the reasons for the denial. If instructed by the General Assembly through legislative action during the next legislative session, the cabinet shall resubmit, with or without modifications based on instructions from the General Assembly, the application for a waiver or waiver amendment or request for a plan amendment.
