198B.120 Injunctions to enforce building code compliance. The department or any local government agency enforcing the Uniform State Building Code may obtain injunctive relief from any court of competent jurisdiction to enjoin the offering for sale, delivery, use, occupancy or construction of any building on which construction was begun after the effective date of the code, upon an affidavit of the department or the local government agency specifying the manner in which the construction, or if a building existing prior to the effective date of the code, the reconstruction, alteration, repair or conversion does not conform to the requirements of this chapter or the Uniform State Building Code.
