38.140 Enlisted man, discharge of -- Discharge papers. (1) (2) An enlisted man shall not be discharged before the expiration of his term of service except by order of the Governor or by sentence of court-martial approved by the Governor. A soldier upon his discharge from service, shall be given a certificate of discharge or report of separation from service. The types of discharges used shall be the same as those authorized by the National Guard Bureau. History: Amended 1962 Ky. Acts ch. 47, sec. 7. -- Amended 1954 Ky.
