186A.235 Owner to notify clerk of residence or name change. (1) (2) Whenever any person after making application for or obtaining a certificate of registration or title for a vehicle, shall move from the address named in the application or shown upon a registration card or certificate of title, such person shall within fifteen (15) days thereafter notify the county clerk of the county in which he resides in writing of his old and new addresses as well as the current license number of all vehicles currently registered or titled in his name. The county clerk shall immediately enter such change into the automated system. Whenever the name of any person who has made application for or obtained a certificate of registration or title for a vehicle is thereafter changed by marriage or otherwise, such person shall within fifteen (15) days notify the county clerk of the county of residence of such former and new name. The county clerk shall immediately enter such change into the automated system. Effective: July 15, 1982 History: Created 1982 Ky. Acts ch. 164, sec. 44, effective July 15, 1982.
