49.290 Nonresident victims of criminal acts occurring in Kentucky -- Limits on operation of statute. (1) "Victim" shall also include nonresidents of this state who suffer losses as a direct result of criminal acts occurring within this state. (2) This section shall be operative only during those time periods during which the commission determines that federal funds are available to the state for the compensation of victims of crime. Effective:June 29, 2017 History: Repealed, reenacted, renumbered, and amended 2017 Ky. Acts ch. 74, sec. 29, effective June 29, 2017. -- Created 1990 Ky. Acts ch. 409, sec. 2, effective July 13, 1990. Formerly codified as KRS 346.025.
