212.860 District board of health -- Meetings -- Quorum -- Compensation.

212.860 District board of health -- Meetings -- Quorum -- Compensation. (1) (2) (3) A majority of all the members of the district board of health shall constitute a quorum. The board shall elect a chairman and vice chairman and such other officers as it deems necessary for the board to conduct business. The district board of health may elect an executive committee representative of the district, for the conduct of such business and the discharge of such duties as the board may delegate. The committee shall meet as determined by the board or at the call of the district health officer. Members of district boards of health shall serve without pay but may be reimbursed for expenses incurred in connection with such service in accordance with state travel regulations and the policies of the cabinet. The district board of health shall appoint a health officer and fix his salary subject to the approval of the cabinet and applicable merit system regulations.
