212.650 Expense of maintaining city-county department. The expense of creating and establishing the city-county department of health shall be paid by the city and by the county in such proportion as may be agreed upon between the city legislative body and fiscal court at the time of establishing the department. After the department has been established the annual expense of maintenance shall be borne in the same proportion, or as may be agreed upon between the city legislative body and fiscal court, and the city legislative body and fiscal court shall each make an annual levy sufficient to produce the necessary amount.
