367.97511 Holding restrictions. (1) (2) (3) (4) A crematory authority shall not accept human remains for cremation unless the human remains are contained within a closed cremation container. A crematory authority shall not accept for holding a cremation container from which there is any evidence of leakage of the body fluids from the human remains therein. Human remains that are not embalmed may not be held at a crematory that does not have a refrigerated holding facility. The crematory authority shall ensure that holding facilities are secure from access by anyone other than crematory authority personnel. Effective: July 15, 1994 History: Created 1994 Ky.
