39F.060 Activities permitted for general and specialized rescue squads. (1) (2) (3) A general rescue squad may engage in general and any specialized rescue squad activity utilizing one or more vehicles that hold all of the equipment required for both the general and specialized rescue squad activities specified in its mission statement. A specialized rescue squad may engage in one or more specialized rescue squad activities or general rescue squad activities utilizing one or more vehicles that hold all of the equipment required for the specialized, or general and specialized, rescue squad activities specified in its mission statement. The director may waive, in writing, the requirement, upon good cause shown, and upon written alternative plan submitted by a specialized rescue squad showing that adequate response equipment can be transported to the scene in an efficient manner without the necessity for a squad-owned vehicle.
