35.817 Payment of fines and disposition thereof. (1) (2) Fines imposed by a military court or through imposition of non-judicial punishment may be paid to the state and delivered to the court or imposing officer, or to a person executing their process. Fines may be collected by: (a) Cash or money order; (b) Retention of any pay or allowances due or to become due the person from any state or the United States; or (c) Garnishment or levy, together with costs, on wages, goods, and chattels of a person delinquent in paying a fine, as provided by law. Any sum so received or retained shall be deposited in the military justice fund or to whomever the court so directs. Effective: June 25, 2013 History: Repealed, reenacted, renumbered, and amended 2013 Ky. Acts ch. 32, sec. 146, effective June 25, 2013. -- Created 1954 Ky. Acts ch. 99, sec. 81, effective July 1, 1954. Formerly codified as KRS 35.410.
