304.2-290 Examination expense.

304.2-290 Examination expense. (1) (2) The expense of examination shall be borne by the person examined. Such expense shall include only the reasonable and proper lodgings, meals and travel expenses of the commissioner and the commissioner's examiners and assistants, including expert assistance, reasonable compensation as to such examiners and assistants and incidental expense as necessarily incurred in the examination. As to expense and compensation involved in any such examination the commissioner may give due consideration to scales and limitations recommended by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and outlined in the examination manual sponsored by that association. Such person examined shall promptly pay to the commissioner the expenses of the examination upon presentation by the commissioner of a reasonably detailed written statement thereof.
