146.430 Director of commission. (1) (2) In order to effectuate and administer KRS 146.410 to 146.530, the secretary may appoint a full-time director, with the approval of the commission, who shall be qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of this office and carry out the purpose of KRS 146.410 to 146.530, and who shall hold office at the pleasure of the secretary. The salary of the director shall be determined by the secretary. The secretary shall, upon the advice and consent of the commission, employ and fix the compensation of such personnel as may be necessary to effectuate the provisions of KRS 146.410 to 146.530. The director shall, upon the advice and consent of the commission and the secretary, provide for the allocation of the work and activities of all employees of the commission.
