99.500 Cooperation between communities.

Two or more communities may jointly exercise the powers granted under KRS 99.330 to 99.510 and in such case the planning commissions, councils, and agencies may hold joint meetings, but all public hearings shall be held in each community which is affected under KRS 99.330 to 99.510. By resolution finding and declaring a need therefor, the council of each of the communities may designate the agency of one (1) of the communities to act as the agency of each of such communities and such agency shall constitute an agency created and established by and for each such community pursuant to KRS 99.330 to 99.510 within the meaning of any provisions thereof. In this event the agency designated shall cooperate with the planning commission of each community in formulating development plans. The councils of the communities involved shall have the power to contract with each other in order to carry out the plan approved. Effective: March 25, 1950 History: Created 1950 Ky.
