Unless the child is proceeded against as an adult in accordance with the law governing crimes as provided in KRS Chapter 635 or 640, the disposition of any child under the provisions of KRS Chapters 600 to 645, or any evidence given in the case, shall not be lawful evidence against the child for any purpose, except in subsequent cases involving the same child under KRS Chapters 600 to 645. Effective: July 15, 1997 History: Amended 1996 Ky. Acts ch. 358, sec. 22, effective July 15, 1997. -- Created 1986 Ky. Acts ch. 423, sec. 28, effective July 1, 1987. Legislative Research Commission Note (7/15/96). Under 1996 Ky. Acts ch. 358, sec. 67(1), the amendment of this statute by Section 22 of that Act becomes effective July 15, 1997.
