An escaped convict, after he is reconfined, shall remain in the penitentiary until the time of his trial for the escape without an examining trial or bail. His acquittal for the offense of escape shall not affect the original sentence. Effective:October 1, 1942 History: Recodified 1942 Ky. Acts ch. 208, sec. 1, effective October 1, 1942, from Ky.
