Download as PDF 36.146 Mission of Kentucky National Guard and Reserve Employers' Council. The Kentucky National Guard and Reserve Employers' Council shall, as its mission, advise employers, both public and private, of the importance of supporting the National Guard and the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Reserves by providing employee members with time off for training, and with job security during times of mobilization. The council may recommend solutions to employment problems encountered by members of the National Guard or military reserves who are mobilized, and it may offer proposed policy or statutory changes to deal with those problems. Effective:June 24, 2003 History: Created 2003 Ky. Acts ch. 158, sec. 2, effective June 24, 2003. Legislative Research Commission Note (6/24/2003). Although 2003 Ky. Acts ch. 158, sec. 2, directed that this section be created as a new section of KRS Chapter 40, the statute has been codified in KRS Chapter 36 because, given the subject matter of the section, this is the more logical placement. See KRS 7.136(1)(a).
