Download as PDF 281.850 Automobile utility trailer lessor's permit. (1) (2) (3) (4) No person shall act as an automobile utility trailer lessor without first obtaining a permit from the department. A permit authorizing a person to act as an automobile utility trailer lessor shall also authorize the agents of the person to act on his behalf during the period of their agency. Permits authorizing a person to act as an automobile utility trailer lessor may be issued by the department without a hearing. If a hearing be held by the department upon an application for a permit authorizing a person to act as an automobile utility trailer lessor, the hearing shall be conducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B and the question for determination shall be the fitness, willingness, and ability of the applicant, and whether the operation proposed is bona fide. Before a permit authorizing a person to act as an automobile utility trailer lessor is issued by the department, the applicant therefor shall comply with the provisions of KRS 281.655.
