281.656 Abatement of operating rights upon cancellation of bond or insurance policy.

Upon the cancellation of any bond or insurance policy required by KRS 281.655, all operating rights granted by the certificate or permit for which said bond or insurance policy was filed shall immediately abate; provided, however, that if the bond or insurance policy is reinstated within thirty (30) days from the date of cancellation the operating rights granted by the certificate or permit shall again be in force and effect, otherwise they shall become void. Upon the event of the cancellation of any bond or insurance policy or upon the event of any order of the department cancelling or suspending the operating rights granted by any certificate or permit the department is empowered to immediately require the cessation of all operations conducted under authority of the affected certificate or permit, and to require, through its agents, the surrender of all certificates, permits, licenses, and other evidence of right to act as a motor carrier.
