67A.310 Prohibition of political activities. (1) (2) (3) (4) No person shall be appointed to any position because of political, partisan service rendered by him or his family, or because of political sentiment or affiliation nor shall any person be dismissed, suspended or reduced in grade or pay because of any political opinion. The appointment and continuance of employment of all persons shall depend solely upon their ability and willingness to perform their duties, and shall not be a reward for political activity or contribution to campaign funds. No employee shall be forced to pay or collect any assessments made by political organizations, contribute to political campaign funds, or be active in politics. No employee shall be active in politics or work for the election of candidates while on duty. Effective: July 13, 1984 History: Amended 1984 Ky.
