72-17,143 State and federal funds for establishment, maintenance, expansion; rules and regulations; especially needy schools.

72-17,143. State and federal funds for establishment, maintenance, expansion; rules and regulations; especially needy schools. (a) The state board may, to the extent that funds are available therefor, allocate and distribute state and federal funds to any board, for the purpose of assisting in the establishment, maintenance and expansion of food service programs in schools, giving priority to especially needy schools.

(b) The state board may adopt rules and regulations for the allocation and distribution of state and federal funds under this section so long as the same are not inconsistent with the state plan of child nutrition operations or with the provisions of this act.

(c) The state board may adopt rules and regulations for determining especially needy schools.
