74-99c08 Officers and employees not state employees; compensation and travel expenses.

74-99c08.Officers and employees not state employees; compensation and travel expenses. (a) Officers and employees of the Kansas center for entrepreneurship shall not be considered state employees, as such term is defined in any other statute or regulation, and shall be paid from appropriations to the center and moneys allocated in K.S.A. 2017 Supp. 74-99c05, and amendments thereto, for salaries and operating expenses. Subject to policies established by the Kansas center for entrepreneurship, the president of the Kansas center for entrepreneurship or the president's designee shall be authorized to approve all travel and travel expenses of such officers and employees.

(b) Nothing in this act or the act of which it is amendatory shall be construed as placing any officer of the Kansas center for entrepreneurship in the classified service under the Kansas civil service act.
