Section 75-5028 Sale of certain land by secretary of transportation.

75-5028. Sale of certain land by secretary of transportation. (a) The secretary of the department of transportation is hereby authorized to sell, at not less than the appraised value thereof, a tract of land in the southwest quarter of section 9, township 10 south, range 8 east of the sixth principal meridian in Pottawatomie county, Kansas, described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said southwest quarter of section 9; thence east 27.76 chains (1832.16 feet); thence north 2088.18 feet to the left bank of the Big Blue River; thence along the left bank of the said Big Blue River the following courses: south 87 53 west 200.1 feet, south 88 34 west 281.1 feet, north 73 06 west 189.2 feet, south 86 52 west 238.4 feet, south 77 22 west 178.6 feet to the northwest corner of the James Johns tract and the point of beginning: thence south 262.65 feet along the west line of said James Johns tract; thence west 195.62 feet; thence north 199.35 feet to the aforementioned left bank of the Big Blue River; thence north 72 04 09 east 205.61 feet along the bank of the said Big Blue River to the point of beginning, containing 1.04 acres.

(b) The sale authorized by this section shall be exempt from the provisions of K.S.A. 75-3739, and amendments thereto.
