Section 72-6423 Driver training fund; use of money, unencumbered balance in fund.
72-6423. Driver training fund; use of money, unencumbered balance in fund. (a) There is hereby established in every district a fund which shall be called the driver training fund which fund shall consist of all moneys deposited therein or transferred thereto according to law. All moneys received by the district from distributions made from the state safety fund and the motorcycle safety fund and from tuition, fees or charges for driver training courses shall be credited to the driver training fund. The expenses of a district directly attributable to driver training shall be paid from the driver training fund.
(b) Any unencumbered balance of moneys remaining in the driver training fund of a school district on June 30, 2012, may be expended in the school year that immediately succeeds such date by the school district for general operating expenses of the school district as approved by the board of education.
