Chapter 60.--PROCEDURE, CIVIL
Article 1.--PREFATORY

      60-104.   Acts by court or judge. Without regard to whether the word "court" or the word "judge" is used in any provisions of this chapter, all trials upon the merits shall be conducted in open court and in a regular courtroom if reasonably possible. All other acts or proceedings, including the entry of a ruling or judgment, may be done or conducted by a judge or judge pro tem in chambers, without the attendance of the clerk or other court officials and at any place either within or without the district; but no hearing, other than one ex parte, shall be conducted outside the district without the consent of all parties affected thereby who are not in default.
