2006 Kansas Code - 75-5344

      75-5344.   Special fund for the developmentally disabled; authorized uses; administration. There is hereby established in the state treasury the special fund for the developmentally disabled which shall be administered by the secretary of social and rehabilitation services. The secretary of social and rehabilitation services may accept money from any source for deposit in the special fund for the developmentally disabled. All moneys in the special fund for the developmentally disabled shall be used for the purposes of providing for the care and treatment of low-income persons who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill or physically handicapped or low-income persons otherwise eligible for assistance or services provided by the department of social and rehabilitation services. All expenditures from the special fund for the developmentally disabled shall be in accordance with the provisions of appropriations acts upon warrants of the director of accounts and reports issued pursuant to vouchers approved by the secretary of social and rehabilitation services or by the secretary's designee.
