2006 Kansas Code - 74-5807

      74-5807.   Same; definitions. As used in this act, unless the context otherwise requires:

      (a)   The "board" means the Kansas board of examiners in fitting and dispensing of hearing aids.

      (b)   "License" includes a temporary license, certificate of registration, and certificate of endorsement.

      (c)   "Hearing aid" means any instrument or device designed for or represented as aiding, improving or correcting defective human hearing and any parts of such an instrument or device.

      (d)   "Practice of dispensing and fitting hearing aids" means the evaluation or measurement of the powers or range of human hearing by means of an audiometer or by any other means devised and the consequent selection or adaptation or sale of hearing aids intended to compensate for hearing loss, including the making of an impression of the ear.
