      72-8155b.   U.S.D. 426 authorized to transfer certain land. The board of education of unified school district No. 426, Republic county, is hereby authorized to transfer a tract of land beginning at a point thirty (30) feet west of the south east corner of the south west quarter (1/4) of section (16) sixteen, township (4) four range (4) four west, in Republic county, Kansas. Thence north two hundred thirty (230) feet. Thence west parallel to the south line of said section sixteen (16) three hundred ninety one (391) feet to the east line of the right of way of the Missouri Pacific Railway. Thence south east along the east line of said right of way two hundred thirty two (232) feet to the section line. Thence east along said section line three hundred sixty seven (367) feet to the place of beginning making two (2) acres more or less. And to be known as out lot no. one (1), together with the two-story brick schoolhouse and the one-story brick gymnasium and auditorium thereon, to Norway township of Republic county for a township community center in consideration of one dollar and no other consideration. The provisions of K.S.A. 72-8212 shall not apply to the transaction authorized by this act. The transfer herein authorized shall be made by warranty deed if in the opinion of the attorney of said board of education such a deed is appropriate, and if in said attorney's opinion a warranty deed is not appropriate, such transfer shall be made by quitclaim deed.
