2006 Kansas Code - 72-8155

      72-8155.   U.S.D. 280 authorized to transfer certain land. The board of education of unified school district No. 280, Graham county, is hereby authorized to transfer a tract of land beginning at the southeast corner of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of section 28, township 6 south, range 25 west, in Graham county, Kansas, thence north ten (10) rods, west sixteen (16) rods, south ten (10) rods, east sixteen (16) rods to the point of beginning, containing two (2) acres, more or less, together with the one-story concrete block, brick veneer building thereon, to Allodium township of Graham county for a township community center and school purposes in consideration of one dollar and no other consideration. The provisions of K.S.A. 72-8212 shall not apply to the transaction authorized by this act. The transfer herein authorized shall be made by warranty deed if in the opinion of the attorney of said board of education such a deed is appropriate, and if in his opinion a warranty deed is not appropriate, such transfer shall be made by quitclaim deed.
