2006 Kansas Code - 47-621

      47-621.   Duties of railway corporations; penalty. That it shall be the duty of the railway corporations doing business in this state to cleanse and disinfect the cars, stockyards and receiving pens used by them in transporting stock in this state at such times and places as the commissioner may designate, whenever in the opinion of the commissioner any such order may be necessary, to prevent the spread of infectious or contagious disease. And such corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be liable to a penalty of five hundred dollars for each violation, to be recovered in a civil action to be prosecuted under the direction of the attorney general in the name of the state of Kansas.
