2006 Kansas Code - 44-919

      44-919.   Deputy inspectors; qualifications, compensation. The secretary shall employ one or more deputy inspectors who shall be responsible to the chief inspector. Each deputy inspector shall have at the time of appointment not less than three years experience in the construction, installation, inspection, operation, maintenance or repair of high pressure boilers and pressure vessels as a mechanical engineer, steam operating engineer, boilermaker or boiler inspector. Deputy inspectors shall be in the unclassified civil service and shall receive such compensation as prescribed by the secretary, subject to the approval of the governor.
