19-621. Same; bond. Within ten (10) days after receiving a certificate of the order appointing him or her to the office specified in K.S.A. 19-620, it shall be the duty of such person to file with the district clerk of his or her county a bond, with at least two sufficient sureties, in the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), to the proper county, conditioned that he or she will faithfully perform the duties of his or her office, which bond and sureties thereon shall be approved by the district court of the proper county, which approval shall be made part of the records of said court. A bond conditioned as hereinbefore recited, and executed by a bonding company authorized to do business under the laws of this state, shall upon approval of the district judge be construed to be and constitute sufficient surety, and the premium on said bond shall be paid by the county.
