2006 Kansas Code - 16a-6-201

      16a-6-201.   (UCCC) Applicability. This part applies to a creditor engaged in this state in entering into consumer credit transactions and to any person who takes assignments of and undertakes direct collection of payments from or enforcement of rights against debtors arising from these transactions. This part shall not apply to supervised financial organizations (K.S.A. 16a-1-301, and amendments thereto). Nothing in this section shall be construed to require the payment of any fees required by this article by attorneys or collection agencies who receive the same for collection purposes.
