905.2 District departments established. 1. There is established in each judicial district in this state a judicial district department of correctional services. Each district department shall furnish or contract for those servicesnecessary to provide a community-based correctional program which meets the requirementsof the Iowa department of corrections. 2. The district department is under the direction of the Iowa department of corrections, and shall be administered by a director employed by the Iowa department of corrections. Adistrict department is a state agency for purposes of chapter 669. 3. All employees of a district department shall be employees of the Iowa department of corrections.
