514B.3B Certificate of authority — renewal. A certificate of authority of a health maintenance organization formed under this chapter expires on June 1 succeeding its issue and shall be renewed annually so longas the organization transacts its business in accordance with all legal requirements. A health maintenance organization shall submit annually, on or before March 1, a completedapplication for renewal of its certificate of authority. A health maintenance organizationthat fails to timely file an application for renewal shall pay an administrative penalty offive hundred dollars to the treasurer of state for deposit as provided in section 505.7.
