1 JUDICIAL BRANCH, §602.10119 602.10119 Unlawful retention of money. An attorney who receives the money or property of a client in the course of the attorney’s professional business, and refuses to pay or deliver it in a reasonable time, after demand, is guilty of a theft and punished accordingly.
