CHAPTER 321 - MOTOR VEHICLES AND LAW OF THE ROAD
321.87 - DELIVERY TO OWNER.

        321.87  DELIVERY TO OWNER.
         If, within forty days thereafter, the owner of the vehicle or
      component part appears and properly identifies it, the officer having
      the vehicle or component part in custody shall deliver it to such
      owner upon payment by the owner of the costs incurred incident to the
      apprehension of the vehicle or component part and the location of the
      owner.
