CHAPTER 232 - JUVENILE JUSTICE
232.20 - ADMISSION OF CHILD TO SHELTER CARE OR DETENTION.

        232.20  ADMISSION OF CHILD TO SHELTER CARE OR
      DETENTION.
         1.  If a child is taken into custody and not released as provided
      in section 232.19, subsection 2, the child shall immediately be taken
      to a detention or shelter care facility as specified in sections
      232.21 or 232.22.
         2.  When a child is admitted to a detention or shelter care
      facility the person in charge of the facility or the person's
      designated representative shall notify the court, the child's
      attorney, and the child's parent, guardian, or custodian as soon as
      possible of the admission and the reasons for that admission.
