CHAPTER 53 - ABSENT VOTERS

        53.47  MATERIALS FURNISHED BY DEPARTMENT OF
      ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.
         In order to establish uniformity in size, weight and other
      characteristics of the ballot and facilitate its distribution and
      return, the department of administrative services shall upon
      direction of the state commissioner purchase any material needed for
      any special ballots, envelopes and other printed matter, and sell any
      such materials to the several counties of the state at cost plus
      handling and transportation costs.
         There is hereby appropriated to the department of administrative
      services from the general fund of the state such sums as may be
      necessary to purchase any materials provided for herein.  The
      proceeds from sale of such materials to counties shall be turned into
      the general fund of the state upon receipt of same by the department
      of administrative services.
