14-22-10-7. Effort to retrieve crippled or killed wild animals

IC 14-22-10-7 Effort to retrieve crippled or killed wild animals

     Sec. 7. A person may not kill or cripple a wild animal without making a reasonable effort to retrieve the animal. After the animal is retrieved the animal must be:

(1) taken into the person's possession, unless the animal is a nuisance wild animal taken with the permission of the owner or tenant of the land in accordance with this article; and

(2) included in the person's daily bag limit, if applicable.
