CHAPTER 17.2. Election of School Board Members in East Chicago

IC 20-23-17.2-3.3 Terms of members elected in 2016
Sec. 3.3. (a) Notwithstanding section 3.1 of this chapter, as in effect on July 1, 2016, the members of the governing body described in section 3.1(b) of this chapter shall:
(1) be elected at the general election held in the county in 2016; and
(2) serve a term of two (2) years.
(b) The successors of the members of the governing body described in subsection (a) shall:
(1) be elected at the general election held in the county in 2018; and
(2) serve a term of four (4) years.
(c) This section expires January 1, 2023.
