Sec. 1. This chapter applies only to Ball State University.

Board; management
Sec. 2. The board of trustees may manage, control, and operate
Ball State University.

Board; rule promulgation and regulations
Sec. 3. The board of trustees may promulgate rules and
regulations.

Board; powers
Sec. 4. The board of trustees possesses all power not otherwise
specified by law in order to efficiently operate the affairs of Ball
State University.

Diversity committee
Sec. 5. (a) The board of trustees shall create a diversity committee
to do the following:
(1) Review and recommend faculty employment policies
concerning diversity issues.
(2) Review faculty and administration personnel complaints
concerning diversity issues.
(3) Make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural
diversity among faculty members.
(4) Make recommendations to promote recruitment and
retention of minority students.
(b) The diversity committee shall issue an annual report stating the
findings, conclusions, and recommendations of the committee to the
board of trustees.
