Download as PDF IC 4-24-4 Chapter 4. Payment for Autopsies on Inmates IC 4-24-4-1 Costs Sec. 1. In the event an autopsy shall be performed on any deceased inmate of any of the several public institutions of the state of Indiana, the cost thereof shall be paid by such state institution from its appropriate funds, to the county in which such institution is located. (Formerly: Acts 1947, c.225, s.1.) IC 4-24-4-2 Requisition for costs Sec. 2. Such institution shall requisition and be reimbursed for such payment by the county from which such inmate was committed, by the filing of a claim in such county with the auditor thereof and said claim shall be allowed by the board of county commissioners thereof in the same manner as other claims are allowed and paid. (Formerly: Acts 1947, c.225, s.2.) IC 4-24-4-3 Appropriation for costs Sec. 3. The county councils of the several counties of the state of Indiana, shall appropriate the necessary funds for said purpose. (Formerly: Acts 1947, c.225, s.3.)
